A Lace Love Story – New Collection Launches December 1st 2024
Embrace the Magic of Bohemian Fashion
Each month we interview women in Ibiza to give their insight on the island, favourite spots and what they’re currently loving. This month we chat to Meg, a resident of Ibiza, mama of two and our bohemian muse.
Why Ibiza?
I fell in love with the Island when I used to come for the summers whilst I was at Uni. Instead of going back to the UK after I graduated as planned, I fell in love with my husband, we started a family, built our house and now it feels completely like home. I love the slow-paced lifestyle and living in the sunshine.
24 hrs alone with your husband
I would actually fly to Mallorca, stay at the Sant Francesc Hotel in Palma and have dinner at our favourite - El Camino.
Fave family spot
Days at the beach with our girls are always my favourite. Cala Bassa, Cala Comte or Cala Tarida taking a picnic with us then grabbing a takeaway pizza on the way home!
What are you wearing on repeat?
Your love skirt, summer, winter, daytime, evening, it's just so easy to wear whether you dress up or down.
Favourite Bohemian Bond Drop?
I think it is the current drop - the love top & skirt. I am completely OBSESSED with this set!
Day In the Life of you...
My typical day starts with the school drop-off, followed by either an exercise class, yoga, ballet or online pilates depending on the day. Anytime I am in my car without the girls I am listening to podcasts or audiobooks. At the moment I am listening to The Diary of a CEO. Then back home for lunch, I like to try and pre-make dinner for the girls or I will need to get snack boxes ready if they have after-school activities. Then if I am not catching up on any errands, planning new projects, re re-organising the house. I am usually reading all about Brain health via Dr Amen's books, which I am obsessed with at the minute. Then before I know it the time has flown by and I need to pick the girls up from school.
MEXICO
Six months, nine countries and our final destination was Mexico. We spent the last month of our travels here and it was the best way to end our dream trip. The food, the culture, the people, we loved it.
STAY Blue Holbox Hotel
EAT Nomade Tulum
We're now back home, unpacked, treating my lace to a good soak and drying in the balearic sunshine. Our Sunday Girl drop has closed and so busy making these over the next few weeks. We are keeping the website closed throughout August but will be back online Sunday 3rd September. Enjoy the summer.Jessie xx
AMERICA
We have arrived in Hawaii and as much as I would love the energy to visit more Islands, after five months of travelling we just want to keep things a little simpler so we stayed in Waikiki Wayfinder Hotel. After a few days, we then drove to North Shore for the second part of the trip.
STAY Sleep Turtle Bay
BOOK The Cobbler by Steve Madden
We then flew to San Francisco for a few days stop over and I loved it so much. I had no idea it was the home of so many cool artists, with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and friends all flocking to Haight-Ashbury in the late 60s. It has an amazing vibe, I would have loved to have seen it in the Summer of Love in 1967.
There are so many flea markets, vintage shops and cool coffee hangouts - inspiration everywhere.
FIJI
STAY Momi Bay
BOOK Love, Pamela by Pamela Anderson
I can't believe we only have a month left before heading home. Excited to make the most of our time together on the road.

BALI
We landed in Bali to find it magical and mayhem as expected. Our three weeks on the island started in Canggu which is the liveliest of the locations and was the perfect first introduction. There are plenty of amazing beach clubs, restaurants, shops and markets to explore.
Moving onto Ubud I wasn't sure what to expect so we originally only booked two nights but I fell in love with this area and we kept extending our stay. Slow walks through the rice fields, yoga, spas and beautiful local markets. The whole area is a zen dream and we loved seeing the locals leaving out their offerings every morning.
We then had a few days in Uluwatu finishing in Sanur although didn’t venture too far from our hotel as we wanted to chill before heading to our next destination. It was the perfect end to island life.

BEACH La Brisa
STAY The Rice Joglow
We're now in Australia catching up with family, so will share new discoveries soon.

THAILAND
We left Sri Lanka and travelled to Doha before heading on to Bangkok. We opted out of city madness and caught a flight to Koh Samui. We stayed in Fisherman’s Village in Bophut and took barefoot beach walks to dinner in the evening. Our days and nights were spent wandering through the markets, I was in straw hat and crochet heaven.
After a few days here we caught a flight to Phuket and jumped straight onto a boat to Phi Phi island. Arriving at sunset at this little village sanctuary was magical. The kids hired bikes and loved exploring the island while I hid in the forest spa as much as possible. Blissful.

SRI LANKA
We landed in Sri Lanka at the end of January and spent three weeks discovering the island. The beach and the greenery are breathtaking, and the people are amongst the most friendly we have met on our trip so far. The kids loved getting to know the animals on the island and we've all learnt to surf. I feel constantly inspired by the markets and watching how other cultures wear and create clothes. We're slowly making our way to visit family in Sydney and it feels like we're getting closer with each step.
Next on our list is Thailand.
CAPE TOWN
We've taken off for six months to travel as a family. It's always been a dream of mine to travel the world and my children are at an age that works for all of us. Our first stop was Cape Town. I loved the mix of city, farm and safari life. Being out in nature but also returning to the luxury of a bellini with lunch. You can follow our travels on Instagram and I'll be doing regular Q&As if you want to know more about travelling as a family of six.
